online Monthly hadra

Hadra of Sayidah Khadījah

Join us for a monthly gathering reciting the poetry of the people of Allah in praise of other mother Sayidah Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her.

Hadra is from the root word Ha-Dha-Ra which means 'to be present.'

The purpose of the hadra is to connect our hearts to Allah, to the Rasul ﷺ, his companions and the people of Allah from the past present and future. The intention of reciting the hadra is to be present with the people of presence and to attain the blessings they received from Allah.

The hadra of Sayidah Khajidah was written by al-Habib Ahmad ibn Muhammad bin 'Alawi al-Mihdār and is typically recited on the 11th night of every Hijri month.

We are truly blessed to be joined by the Dar al-Zahra Alumni, who will be leading us in the recitation.
